If Bruce Lee or Frank Dux fought in MMA UFC today how would they do ?
Posted By admin On December 1, 2008
Ok another hypothetical question and one more targetted at Bruce Lee since we all know that Frank Dux has too many question marks surrounding his credentials. So what do you guys think about Bruce Lee’s chances of being successful in modern day UFC/MMA cage matches ? How well would he do with all the grappling and ground fighting that’s so common in cage matches. Oh and if you really want to, feel free to throw in some comments about good ole Frank Dux’s chances, that’s always amusing.

Bruce Lee would probably lose because he had no ground game. Frank Dux may fair a little better because he trained in several art forms that all teach ground fighting.
Bruce would probably lose, with no ground tactics and much lighter than the rest of the fighters he would quite honestly struggle to battle the other modern warriors. However in saying that he was fast, so fast in fact that they made him slow down his moves for the camera. So I guess if he could attack fast enough I guess he would have a chance to win a few fights.
Bruce Lee created his own martial art, so I’m pretty sure he could work on any technique or technical flaws within his own JKD system. With the right training I feel he could outclass and kill anybody in his weight range.
God dammit he motivated and influenced most modern day martial artists in the west. His influence on the world of martial arts in the USA is unrivalled. Sure I’m not saying he couldn’t lose, I mean all greats lose eventually Couture, Gracie, Hughes, Liddell but thats something that is natural.
Frank Dux is a nobody, so no comment.
They would win every title known to man. Although Frank Dux would serve better at this kind of fighting thanks to him being a master of ground and cage combat. The only difference is between modern day UFC and the Kumite stuff back in Frank’s days was that it was all underground at that time. Now its all public and free to watch on TV.
As far as Bruce Lee is concerned, I think he would have trouble with people like the Gracies and Dan The Beast Severn. He just doesn’t have the strength or the ground moves to out do the best fighters in the world. Clearly wrestling and Brazilian Jui Jitsu would be a major problem for skinny old bruce.
Frank Dux rocks!!!
Bruce Lee was the king of training and martial arts, not sure what planet you’re from Ninja Masteroun but you’re chatting some real jive shite.
Bruce Lee has no weaknesses because if he had any he addressed them and mastered them. Sure he might have been a little weak on the ground moves initially but he would eventually catch up and be a force to be feared.
I have the utmost respect for anyone who can train traditionally then decide that the traditions were what held back his art. This was the core of Jeet Kune Do, and throwing out the crap and bringing in the new was always something that JKD teaches. He used Kung Fu, Kali Arnis, Tae Kwon Do, Jui Jitsu and whatever he could benefit from to create a complete and balanced system.
Frank Dux on the other hand was a joke. He fabricated most of his life including the art forms and training he underwent. The Kumite has never and will never be proven a reality not because it was a fight to the death and outlawed but because it never took place. We hear about deaths, murders and other distasteful happenings in largely lawless third world countries all the time. A lot of which happen in Asia yet never has one shred of evidence which could be inspected and confirmed come out about the Kumite save for Duxs own fabrications and those of the copycats who wrote books about their own fights in this mysterious kumite.
Bloodsport was just one big money spinner, a great story but that’s all it was. So in short Bruce would do well, as would any students he prepped for MMA events. Frank would never compete choosing instead to create an MMA event in an asian country in his mind then make wild claims about his ability within said created MMA event LOL.
Lee would win in a cage match he’d use his speed and the cage to his advantage. He’d be all over that cage kicking his opponent into it just like Fei Long in street fighter. Speed is the key and Lee had all of it.
Actually Bruce Lee won at least one fight by grappling and a solid ground game. In his weight class he would probably do very well assuming you take him at the peak of his physical fitness. Sure he didn’t specialize in grappling so it might not have been natural for him, but i’m sure he and his JKD system would adapt.
Frank Dux I never actually saw fight, I think he sells doughnuts at my local shopping mall.
Bruce was just starting to address ground work before he died. Thats why traditional JKD has some anti-grappling techniques. If Bruce had lived longer he would have addressed the ground work more. Bruces philosophy was to address each aspect of hand to hand combat. Something many artists ignore today. As for Frank Dux, the guy is a fraud and many of his stories have been proven false, go to bullshido.net for info on Frank Dux and his martial arts system.
Frank Dux would get his ass handed to him on a golden platter. Bruce Lee is dead not much of a fight there but surely a better fighter than Dux.
I think they would do alright just look at Ryoto Machida he fights with a very similar style and is undefeated with wins over Stephan Bonnar, Rich Franklin, Vernon White and B.J. Penn. Bruce was a solid ninja master.
Bruce Lee would kill Frank Dux Dux. He was a liar, infact everything he said was a lie. There is no evidence of him ever actually training under a senzo Tanaka or any records of this person even existing.
Also Dux claims to have won the 1975 Kumite an event that no other martial artist has ever spoken about or claimed to be involved in. No one in the world has ever recognized the Kumite or claimed to have participated, watched or heard of the event. Frank Dux has false military claims about him being hired by the military to help train the special forces during Vietnam. A claim that was proven false in an article in Soldier of Fortune magazine.
Even the trophy that was supposedly won by Dux during the Kumite was a proven a fake by the L.A Times who found a receipt matching that of the trophy saying it was purchased a few miles from Frank Dux’s residence. Every claim that man has ever made about his life and his past has been a proven lie.
The guy is a great story teller, thats all I can really say about him.
Bruce Lee would destroy Dux in a heartbeat Bloodsport was a great movie shame Dux is a sham.
In my humble view Frank Dux was a fraud. His story was just a story. I read many stories about his fraudulent claims from black belt magazine back in the days. Now I can’t say I ever met the guy or ever talked to him directly but most evidence points to him being a fraud.
If this isn’t the case then I’d be more than happy for him to stand face to face with me and show me that what he thinks really happened and what he actually knows about Martial arts.
I have to atrongly disagree with the statement Frank Dux is a fraud.
I have spent several years researching his b.g. for an upcoming book and documentary. His being a fraud would be a better story or at least I thought so. That was until I discovered journalists reporting he is a fraud are the one’s not credible, like an LA Times reporter is guilty of fabrication of evidence. His so called experts and witnesses all turns out to be Dux business competitors or criminals whose illicit activities led to their apprehention and conviction, thanks to Dux.
For those truly interested in the verified substantive facts read the following abbreviated and biography that administrators in wikipedia have been deleting for years now. In doing my research I submitted verified substantive facts - only to watch it arbitrarily deleted under posturing abnd pretenses, like citation needed when it is given, facts corroborated by court and government records.
Wikipedia is founded by Jimmy Wales who also owns and operates Bullshido that benefits from keeping the Dux controversy going… bet you didn’t know that?
THE CENSORED ABBREVIATED BIOGRAPHY OF FRANK DUX (note: footnotes are not enabled to be posted)
Frank William Dux (pronounced “dukes”) is born in Toronto, Canada, in 1956, and immigrated to the United States in 1963 the son of Holocaust survivors. While he grew up impoverished in the California San Fernando Valley, Frank Dux is now based out of Seattle, Washington , a prominent international business entrepreneur and spokesperson that visibly interacts with world leaders and captains of industry. Comparatively, akin to his mentor, FBI/CIA operative turned Howard Hughes “alter ego,” Robert Aimes Maheu Perhaps, attributable to Mr. Dux similarly extraordinary experiences as uncovered with his autobiography, The Secret Man, HarperCollins, 1996.
Philanthropic accomplishments include being amongst the founders working with law enforcement and board of education members to identify and institute after school programs for special needs and at risk children .
Esteemed members of the International Martial Art and Sports Community (i.e. NTSA, USA Martial Art Hall of Fame, California Youth Karate Association, KidSport America, etc.) sponsor THE FRANK DUX FELLOWSHIP AWARD.
The recipient selection criteria is judged and based upon an individual’s sacrifices made in helping others and/or overcoming adversity by which to inspire and lead others in service to their country, industry, sport and community, as achieved by “Living Legend” Frank Dux. The USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame (est. 1976) warrants this award is “The Ultimate Stamp of Excellence in the Martial Arts” .
Similar to how Harvard business school graduates apply Sun Tzu to Wall Street Frank Dux distinguished himself by having transformed and transcended his brand of martial art strategy and tactics DUX FASST™ into innovative business stratagem leading to inventing patentable business financing and revenue generating infrastructure technologies . Frank Dux stated business philosophy and goal is implementing and championing financially sustainable solutions to social problems.
For instance, his saving the children of Africa and Asia by strategically aligning business and political leaders in backing an internationally proposed Water Plan directing technological investment and research in Solar and Wind dehumidifiers. To reduce toxic CO2 in the environment the plan calls for stimulating the anaerobic bacteria discovered in the Barnett Shale. The result is the very first circle of life between the petroleum world and our own ecosystem producing oxygen and natural gas while simultaneously reducing poisonous green house gasses Shared sustainable solutions “go green” philosophical proponents and causal allies include former Presidential candidates New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson and former Vice President Al Gore, Harvard’s President, Drew Gilpin Faust , T. Boone Pickens, Chris Sanders/SANCO and Robert Plarr, etc.
Frank Dux is originally made renowned by the 1988 Canon International theatrically released and syndicated motion picture “Based upon true events in the life of Frank Dux” entitled: Bloodsport: . The film debut Jean Claude Van Damme who portrays Frank Dux trained in the secret art of the Ninja who honors his “Shidoshi” in the legendary “Kumite” by winning it all and defeating his opponents in world record time .
= = MARTIAL ART HALL OF FAME “LIVING LEGEND” = =
The Frank Dux story is described as the “Ultimate Movie of the Ultimate Martial Art Contest” given the SUBSTANTIVE FACT when first featured in the November 1980 issue of Black Belt magazine Frank Dux became the first publicly acknowledged and independently verified western born and trained Martial Artist to have participated and championed the legendary elite Asian no-holds-barred/mixed martial art event, more popularly called “The Kumite”.
Kumite (組手) in Japanese means sparring.
While not a publicity seeking organization contrary to popular myth “The Kumite” organizers, in 1980, the International Fighting Arts Association (IFAA) is far from secret . It is an affiliate/spin off of The Black Dragon Society (Kyūjitai; 黑龍會; Shinjitai: 黒龍会 kokuryūkai) established, in 1901, in China, a formerly prominent paramilitary, ultra-nationalist right-wing group in Japan
The Kumite championship and Black Belt magazine article is corroborated by fight footage , photographs inset in the article as well as prominent internationally recognized and respected martial art masters and eyewitnesses, several appearing in a 2002 documentary . Culminating in Frank Dux being coined the “Ultimate Fight Champion” from which the Mixed Martial Art Ultimate Fight Championship aficionado’s and its founders, like ten time undisputed Brazilian Jujitsu World Champion, Higan Machado, attribute the league owes its inspiration and possibly name , to which Frank Dux is also titled: “The Godfather of Mixed Martial Arts” and whose unprecedented 16 world records and titles holds him out to be referred to as the “Babe Ruth of Martial Arts” by Martial Art magazines and Martial Art Halls of Fame .
Mixed Martial Arts and Bloodsport’s wide appeal observably placed Frank Dux at the forefront of pop culture with his very name incorporated into urban slang:
To Be Frank Duxed is:
1. Similar to being knocked out in world record fashion by swift Frank Dux roundhouse kick to the head; 2. It can apply to, quick losses in gambling, fighting, sports games, or rejection to name a few; 3. A party who passes out right after a single shot of tequila; 4. It can also be used in the verb form: “Frank Duxing It,” in which the losing/rejection is pre meditated - usage example: “John really got Frank Duxed the other night, he went in all in at poker on the 1st hand and lost with a pair of twos” .
Notably, Frank Dux is inducted into numerous International Sokeship Councils and Martial Art Halls of Fame as a “Living Legend” . Most endorse the common belief Frank Dux initiated the fashion trend of mixed martial art fighters competing in embroidered bicycle shorts or board shorts as depicted on screen, in 1988, and made globally popular through the film Bloodsport. The reason for the wardrobe decision initiating the trend is arguably to show off Van Damme’s impressive physique but this is overshadowed by the fact, in 1975, Frank Dux defied Martial Art tradition to become renowned for fighting in a Full Contact Kumite event in embroidered bicycle/board shorts rather than customary martial art uniform, inspiring others to follow suit.
What makes this fashion statement historically significant and attributable to Frank Dux is his fighting in shorts is not motivated by aesthetics or functionality but was committed as his form of visible protest, weary of the politicking associated with one wearing an indigenous martial art uniform and then being subjected to hearing if one prevailed or were defeated “This style is better than style rhetoric;” Dux advocating “The true spirit the Kumite (No-holds-barred/Mixed Martial Arts) is founded upon the observable fact that victory is not determined by any one particular martial art style but by the execution of it by the participant.”
Thus, Frank Dux played a pivotal role in breaking down centuries of prejudice since until the 1980 publicizing of Dux rein as IFAA/Kokuruykai undefeated World Champion anyone not Asian and, in terms of Japanese martial arts not “Koryū” (古流) (traditional Japanese martial art established prior to Meiji Restoration), is generally thought of as being, “inferior.”
During his rein as Champion, Frank Dux was nicknamed by the Chinese audience “Fa Ma” (trans. “The Flying Horse”) given his incredible hang time and defining trait of making use of one of any number of powerful jumping kicks by which to finish off his opponents as they were falling, Dux trademark . The high flying kicks were adapted for Bloodsport by Jean Claude Van Damme who is trained for the role and choreographed by Frank Dux Frank Dux figuratively launching Van Dammes film career and returning to rely upon Dux talent and expertise in similar thematic films, Lionheart and The Quest
= = THE SECRET MAN AKA FRANK DUX = =
In 1975, Frank Dux entered military service in the United States Marine Corps and in 1999, Frank Dux v. Robert Brown, Alexander McColl, Larry Baily and Soldier Of Fortune Magazine, Case No: BC198883, Superior Court Of California, Los Angeles County, through a case of Libel and Slander, it becomes a matter of public record Frank Dux is discharged an intelligence specialist .
Exhibits and testimony made under penalty of perjury support the martial art legend engaged in the systematic practice referred to as “sheep-dipping” whereby, military personnel are recruited and discharged from active military service in order to perform non-attributable/covert actions who then are repatriated back in uniform, typically, at a promoted rank or are cut lose and whose actions are systematically denied by the government but yet, secretly serve as “independent contractors/volunteers” as is the best known case with the legendary, Flying Tigers .
Notwithstanding, in establishing his bona fides by way of exposing the fabrication/sanitizing of his military service records, as warranted in his book, The Secret Man, obtained and relied upon by defendants, under FOIA, the presiding judge rules against Frank Dux. He is prevented from prevailing not due to any inability to prove beyond any reasonable doubt what the defendants were reporting is false and misleading but because he failed to meet the extremely high burden of proof on public figures requiring proof of actual malice (what is inside a person’s mind) as determined under case law decision of Times vs. Sullivan United States Supreme Court, March 9, 1964 (376 U.S. 254).and Gertz v. Robert Welch, Inc., 418 U.S. 323 (1974) .
Speculation exist the court’s written decision is in actuality meant to mask the real reason which is a matter of national security or concealment of ongoing or past political corruption. In light of the fact, ABC Primetime News segment on Frank Dux is suppressed by sources outside of ABC Network, akin to the suppression of the CBS 60 Minutes segment expose on Tobacco Industry, made renowned by the Michael Mann film starring Russell Crow, “The Insider” .
The substantive fact is the publication of Frank Dux book The Secret Man, HarperCollins, 1996, transformed the martial art legend into a government whistleblower. In spite of the anticipated politically motivated attacks aimed at challenging his veracity by him, as had occurred with Lt. Colonel Herbert, Soldier, Frank Dux dared to corroborate Herbert expose of war crimes committed under the color of authority as well as shed light on violations of the Boland and Logan Amendments and the perpetuation of an elaborate “con” surrounding the black market theft and sale of alleged weapons of mass destruction headed for the military regime of Saddam Hussein.
Many of the Dux books claims are, uncharacteristically, denied publicly by the CIA, in 1996 . This behavior had not occurred since the CIA publicly issued a statement of denial regarding its tangential ties to G. Gordon Liddy that resulted in Watergate debacle as well as the denial of its tangential ties to Eugene Hasenfus that resulted in Iran Contra Hearings. In the shadow of the Bush administration with the CIA justifying and propagating the invasion of Iraq, in 2003, Dux claims are eventually vindicated, proven true, when the CIA and Bush administration are exposed to have knowingly made 935 related false claims by the Center for Public Integrity and its affiliated group, the Fund for Independence in Journalism
In the SpecWar community Frank Dux is acknowledged as one of the great innovators of modern strategy and tactics, a source contributor in establishing how paramilitary and covert operations are planned and conducted by elite law enforcement and special warfare military units, world-wide, today . Corroborated by the fact Frank Dux is cited as source contributor to notable Special Warfare manuals, including the prominent United States Navy SEAL CFC SPECWAR Manual: K-431-0097 embraced and utilized by Special Forces, globally as well as Frank Dux having served as adjunct faculty member of the Department of Defense funded Multi-jurisdictional Counter Drug Task Force, Criminal Justice Institute, St. Petersburg, Florida; visibly training SWAT teams and is the instructor of SWAT and defensive tactics instructors of various police departments and anti-terror units, etc.
= = DUX RYU NINJITSU = =
Misconduct of business competitors engaging in trade libel is nothing new to Frank Dux. In the early 1980’s, like many other very closed circle practitioners of Ninjitsu he is a critic of and bares witness to the rise of the rabid commercialization of their traditionally ultra secret martial art and society, with the apparent selling of school franchises via home study courses. Frank Dux became the target of innuendo and criticism in response to his contesting publicly, in 1980, it is not Stephen K. Hayes nor himself as being erroneously reported, but Ronald Duncan of Queens, New York, who is in actuality the first western born martial artist to teach Shinobino-jitsu (popularly known as Ninjitsu the Harvard transliteration adopted by Koga vs. “Ninjutsu” the Oxford transliteration adopted by Iga descendants) in the Untied States . It is Doran Navon a student of Hayes own Grandmaster, Masaaki Hatsumi, who is a Ninjutsu Master in 1973 to be credited according to Dux to be the first westerner to learn and teach the martial art outside of Japan.
Notwithstanding, in 1975, Frank Dux partitioned from his Ninjitsu family lineage to found the very first truly “American system” of Ninjitsu: Dux Ninjitsu™ . Based in traditional Koga Yamabushi roots and methodology it isn’t until 1987, before Frank Dux is acknowledged by members of his own lineage his system is altered enough to be considered truly Dux own invention giving rise to the name change “Dux Ryu Ninjitsu” aka “DRN.”
In 1987, Frank Dux takes the title Hanshi (範士 : はんし) which refers to a senior expert considered a “teacher of teachers”. This title is used by many different arts for the top few instructors of that style, and is sometimes translated “Grand Master” . Frank Dux is Sōke (宗家), a Japanese title meaning “head of the family,” who may grant his own Menkyo kaiden (免許皆伝) , a Japanese term meaning “license of total transmission.” It is a certificate that is granted by a school, ryū, or other organization meaning that the recipient has learned everything that the organization or school can teach, and is licensed to pass on all aspects of training.
Given the observable fact “Ryu” 流, means literally “flow” as in “flows from” with the derived meaning of “mainstream” and infers a specific “style” , Frank Dux in naming his system Dux Ryu, he makes no pretenses of teaching koryu bujutsu .
In stark contrast to DRN the franchise brands of Iga Togakure / Ninpo / Bujinkan / Genbukan Ninjutsu are reputedly the custodians of the secret 15th century martial art, selling home study courses promoted as being “solely” or more “legitimate.” Observably, this is attributed to their inventing and usage of disparaging terms referring to competitive threats like Frank Dux, Ashida Kim, etc. as “Neo-Ninja’s” or “Gendai, Ninpo” .
In actuality, the brands Iga Togakure / Ninpo / Bujinkan / Genbukan Ninjutsu while they all claim a centuries old lineage are themselves viewed in Japan as “Gendai budō (現代武道)” meaning “modern martial way”. The Japanese expression that is used to define the modern Japanese martial arts established after the Meiji Restoration (1866 to 1869). Notably, given the observable and substantive fact these Ninja franchises make use of kyū and dan rankings. These rankings replaced the various certificates awarded within koryū. Another important determining factor is Gendai budō generally do not contain the same strong entrance oaths and rituals as koryū, such as the keppan (”blood oath”) and do not posses colored belt ranking, an invention of the founder of Judo, Jigoro Kano (嘉納 治五郎) 1860–1938 .
In addition, while the Nihon Kobudo Shinkokai honored Bujinkan soke Masaaki Hatsumi for his cultural contributions for Japan, it becomes overtly obvious Iga Togakure / Ninpo / Bujinkan / Genbukan and Dux Ryu Ninjutsu are NOT koryu. Given the overt fact no “Ninja” martial art organization has been formally integrated into the major koryu organizations, in Japan, the Nihon Kobudo Shinkokai and the Nihon Kobudo Kyokai, that have very strict standards regarding authenticity and verification of one’s lineage .
Notwithstanding, with the advent of the internet cultish Iga Togakure / Ninpo / Bujinkan / Genbukan Ninjutsu “disciples” perpetuate a monopolistic myth of “sole authenticity” by way of establishing and operating websites that specifically allege to be “debunkers” of martial art fraud. But instead, insulating themselves from prosecution behind unknown bloggers, they chiefly benefit by way of withholding material facts by which to facilitate trade libel of their “Neo-ninja” competitors
To this extent, columnists and broadcast journalists take note of unethical and rampant tabloid types of attacks of persons operating behind an alias dubbed “keyboard warriors” who often point in the direction of sources that contest Frank Dux accomplishments (e.g. Johnson, John (1988-05-01) “NINJA: Hero or Master Fake? Others Kick Holes in Fabled Past of Woodland Hills Martial Arts Teacher”, Los Angeles Times.Valley Edition, Metro / “Full Mental Jacket” in Soldier of Fortune, August 1996; / Bailey, Larry. “Stolen Valor: Profiles of a Phony Hunter” in Soldier of Fortune, November 1998 / B.G. Burkett & Glenna Whitley, Stolen Valor; Verity Press Inc.) while deceptively failing to mention the material fact these sources were exposed in a courts of law to lack for journalistic objectivity and fairness, overtly intent on inciting others by engaging in name calling, manufacturing and/or repeating highly inflammatory FALSE AND MISLEADING unsubstantiated allegations; citing only Dux business competitors as their experts, quoting alleged witnesses out of context and juxtaposing statements of others in order to render an entirely different meaning. Going so far as to hold up FABRICATED PHYSICAL EVIDENCE as credible and most significant, concealing, how they STOOD TO BENEFIT
It is factually observable with Dux not content to be custodian of 15th century martial art style, as does his counterpart Masaaki Hatsumi, this created a controversial paradox for the DRN system and himself, given his derivative Ninja style DRN, arguable, is what traditional Ninjitsu set out and professes “in principal” to be. In essence, flexible by which to avoid obsolescence; consistently changing and adapting. Not steeped and bogged down in tradition or ritual as were the Ninja’s initial employers/patrons, the Samurai bound by Bushidō (武士道) meaning “Way of the Warrior”, a Japanese code of conduct and a way of the samurai life, loosely analogous to the concept of chivalry.
It is necessity that gave rise for the invention of the martial art forms that comprise Ninjitsu; where their practitioner’s employment begins as a feudal Japanese version of the CIA , also known as Suppa, Rappa, Shinobi and eventually transcended into becoming the secret intelligence societies The Genyosha (Black Ocean) and Kokuryukai (Black Dragon) and military intelligence arm of Imperial Japan, Kempei Tei .
Frank Dux “Ninja” lineage includes connections to Fujita Seiko author of a book called “Ninjitsu Hiroku” (trans. “Ninjitsu In depth”) written in 1936, 30 years before his death, in 1966, and decades before Japan’s own ninja boom. It is the earliest documented record of Fujita inheriting the Koga Ryu Wada Ha system as its 14th Sōke (宗家) - a Japanese term that means “the head family [house]
Frank Dux most documented affiliation is with the ancestral line of Tanaka that includes Kunishige Tanaka, a Kempei Tei agent whose existence and credentials are independently verified by the Imperial War Museum Archives of Japan and mentioned in reference books, notably, published years after the revelation was made by Frank Dux.
Novelist Ian Fleming is the former Deputy Director of Britain’s Military Counter-Intelligence Service (MI5) and arguably made use of the character’s name “Tiger Tanaka” in paying homage to Kunishige Tanaka, who is Fleming’s counterpart, as station chief for Kempei Tei, in London. The actual demeanor and character traits of Fleming’s Tiger Tanaka is based upon Tarao Saito, Editor in Chief, Asahi Shibune, “This is Japan”, a personal friend of Fleming
In addition, Frank Dux first formal martial art instructor, former USA Jujitsu Champion, Jack Seki, had ties to masters of Ninjitsu. Jack Seki was born and raised in Japan and before setting out and teaching on his own, in 1934, he is trained in Jujitsu and Judo by the founder of Judo, Jigoro Kano. Seki is also a personal friend of Kano’s younger brother. All are longtime personal friends of Hisatsugu aka Toshitsugu Takamatsu, soke to Masaaki Hatsumi soke of Iga Togakure Ninjutsu.
A Martial Arts pioneer, Frank Dux refused to engage in commercializing his system which required abandoning the Ninja’s rich tradition of “hands on” teaching, whereby one’s prior training meant little in attaining rank in Ninjitsu that has to be earned and then, honored. In the 1980’s many Ninja organizations reputedly only required paying a fee and demonstrate one possessed a certificate of Black Belt in a martial art in order to be a teacher of Ninpo, Bujinkan, etc.
With his pupil Enrique Flores, a celebrated Martial Art icon of Mexico gracing the covers of numerous trade magazines as he is considered one of Mexico’s finest martial artists, a Kumite and Kickboxing Champion. Together, they established the first formal schools of Ninjitsu in Latin America . Eventually, growing into numerous Ninjitsu organizations that are comprised of satellite schools; the most notable being the Koga Yamabushi Warrior Society that gave rise to Ninjitsu Traditional Systems Association NTSA headed by Enrique Flores former student, Francisco Diaz, plus many others.
= = DUX FASST = =
Given the fact, Dux Ryu Ninjitsu is NOT koryu but an “evolving system” Frank Dux formulated a highly exclusive proprietary augmentation technology he calls DUX FASST™ that is put in use by elite Black Ops, Special Forces and Law Enforcement, world-wide.
FASST stands for Focus-Action-Skill-Strategy-Tactics.
DUX FASST™ is an amalgamated martial art approach that is multi-dimensional in its application and does not replace one style for another since it is a problem solving technology in terms of how one trains in neutralizing a physical threat (Striking, Grappling, Weapon Disarm or Retention) as well as can be employed to promote financially sustainable solutions that can fundamentally change individuals & society (i.e. enlightening and motivating victims of aggression or substance abuse how to end the cycle of dysfunction, etc.) .
The DUX FASST™ technology bridges the gap between the Conditioned Reflex Response and attaining the desired Practiced Reflex Response, akin to what Japanese martial art masters refer to as “Mushin” (trans. “mind no mind”) .

OK! its enough… Get “Mr. Dux” into a UFC cage against Robert Gracie and Broadcast it live on a world wide pay per view show.
Since Mr. Lee cant come back from death; Once and for all let’s see if Dux hits as hard as he speaks vs. Gracie
Well Jerome, if you read Black Belt magazine back in the day then you must know in the Nov. 1980 issue the magazine stated while they do not ordinarily verify credentials and accomplishments in my case they verified my winning the kumite, my world records and retiring undefeated as it was happening, facts then easily verifiable or disproved. Where were you back them when i issued an all comers welmome challenge? Having your underwear changed?
Its easy for anyone to point an accussing finger, or make things up and cover their ass by saying they heard something and are only repeating it… as did some unscrupulous journalists and bloggers.
If I spoke to your enemies or business competitors what would they say abot you… hmmm….how about a vindictive ex-wife or girlfriend? They always tell the truth, right?
How about the fact my the so called sources used in tarnishing my reputation are shown in courts of law making unsubstatiated allegations and fabricated evidence by which to benefit. That doesn’t make me a liar or fraud but it does make everyone buying into and repeating those lies a chump… a sucker…and the people spinning them are laughing more at you then me…
if you want to talk about me then acquaint yourself with the verified facts not allegations go to http://www.fasstduxryu.com or http://www.frankdux.net
Let me state this when all of you accuse me of fraud you accuse me of committing a crime… only in my case I’m never afforded the right, or opportunity to confront my accusers and this all reminds me of this story I posted on a blog on myspace The REAL Frank Dux, feel free to contact me there…
During his Chi Kung exercises my student Josh informs me he intercepted a telepathic message sent by my cat Milo, whom in defense of myself I am forced to expose now as a liar and coward. The tuth is she is free to come and go as she pleases but is far too afraid to venture out into the unknown like my other cat Fendi, who will be gone for days at a time. Keep in mind Milo alleges:
“Day 983 of my captivity…
My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets.
Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.
The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.
Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a ‘good little hunter’ I am. Bastards.
There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of ‘allergies.’ I must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage.
Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow — but at the top of the stairs.
I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.
The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now…………….
Revenge is a dish best served cold. When the warden Frank Dux is fast asleep, I shall edit his wikipedia page and troll the internet just like the p…sy I am.

ZZZZZ Bruce lee was a master and he invented/created his own style, as mentioned before, he was so fast he was a blur on a real time film reel. Not only would ha be able to learn how to fight a new style but the chances of him needing to use a new style is very slim as he is to fast for anyone to try take him down. What do u really think when u had fights back in the dayss of life that there wasn’t fighters who did do ground attacks. If u think that the MMA UFC is the best the world has to offer then u need to get out more. Bruce Lee was a legend in his own right and he deserves to be remembered like that. Not comparing him to people who just take part in a sports entertainment business that does nothing for the world. Bruce not only changed the way people saw martial arts, but also changed alot of peoples views on china and got hundreds of people off the streets doing drugs and into his dojo’s learning something that does not brake the law
Mr. Dux is to old now to fight. Also, medical problems would make it impossible for him to fight at that level. I am an underground fighter myself (retired) and I have some of those same issues. I have the tapes to prove it. I am a former student of Frank Dux . I can prove that to!
Now I am sure to here many replies about how I am a liar. Bring it on!
bruce lee was a great fighter and possibly the second greatest of all time and i believe he would dominate the ufc because in all honosty the ufc doesnt have very good fighters but onesw who can use rules that the ufc has to cover there weakness’ and frank dux the greatest fight possibly ever would do the same. what everyone has to remember is these guys fight for money and not honor there so called skills are a joke when compared to legends like lee and dux.
TILL THIS DAY THERE IS NO MAN ON EARTH THAT HAS EVER MATCHED THE SPEED AND IMPACT STRENGHT OF BRUCE LEE, PUT HIM IN A UFC MATCHUP AND HE WOULD OF DELIVERED THE SAME PERFORMANCE AS HE HAD FOR SO MANY YEARS, AGAINST ALL TYPES OF APPONENT,” BE LIKE WATER” AS WE ALL HAVE HEARD BEFORE, HE WOULD OF ADAPTED AND INCORPORATED EVERYTHING HE MIGHT HAVE LEARNED MAKING HIS JEETKUNDO EVEN BETTER THEN IT ALREADY IS. SO TO ANSWER YOUR GUESTION, NO! HE WOULD OF LOST…..BUT GIVIN 1MONTH AFTER HE WOULD OF CAME BACK UNDEFEATED, BUT THATS JUST WHAT I THINK, LATAZ!
bruce had a grappling tech of his own also if you truly watch he always adapts to whom he is fighting his was a mix of attack and counter and if all else fails bite.on a real note u had to see the man in person to get it . as far as dux goes if he was to have a chance it would be for about two fights .and both of those are within.
First of all Bruce Lee is the Master. He would kill Frank Dux. Secondly, Bruce Lee did study grappling when he showed it at the beginning of Enter the Dragon. The only person who may of given Bruce Lee competition was Huo Yuanjia, who Jet Li played in Fearless and was Bruce Lee’s teacher in Chinese Connection. PERIOD
I’d say especialy Bruce Lee wouldn’t need grappling. If you’e stirking is that good you wont need to go to ground or wrestle.
What the devil is all this hatred towards Frank Dux? I personally love Ninjutsu and do study Bujinkan Ninjutsu myself.Ninjutsu is not a sport, but a way of life. Now before I go any further, I would like to humbally apologise on behalf of all my Iga brothers and sisters by saying sorry to those who practice Koga style Ninjitsu for all the horrible statements that they constantly make. And sorry to Frank Dux as well.Unlike the other Bujinkan practitioners I actually DO recognize Koga ryu Ninjitsu as being real Ninpo.
Why ?( And I’m sure that many of my Iga brothers and sisters are probably reading these statements of mine in disgust!)…But I can give you many reasons why I personally believe in the fact that Koga Ryu Ninjitsu is real and is still in existance today and I will give a few.
First of all as a practitioner of Ninjutsu I know that the Void element in Ninjutsu’s godai system teaches that all things are possible and that a Ninja must be relaxed and prepared and accept any situation that comes into play. All things are possible… why then, my Iga brothers, can’t you accept the fact that the Koga style still might exist? In fact, it does exist because for instance, Sho Kosugi has never trained with our beloved Grand Master Dr.Hatsumi and yet if we look at his movies or movie clips on You tube all we see is NATURAL BODY MOVEMENT (Ninpo Taijutsu). There is all actual evidence of real Ninja training , such as fist and body harmony (Ken-tai uchi), we observe Ninja postures such as water, fire earth and wind movements and yet you guys say that our Koga brothers are fake.Did Sho Kosugi just suck these techniques out of his thumb and by coincidense it so happened that his body movement and techinques ended up to be similiar to ours?Rick Tew, I believe, is a student of Frank Dux and watching his clips on You tube I see the same techniques that we practice in the Bujinkan.Exactly the same. How is it scientifically possible that they could suck our secret techniques out of their thumbs?I think that if someone actually has so many world records as stated as Mr.Dukes has and their techniques are similliar to ours it actually proves that our art is really the most effective and we should actually be glad !!!To my Bujinkan brothers who will not accept that these are real Ninja moves and fighting techniques, I am ashamed for you.I hope that the Koga Ninja practioners will understand that not everybody in the Bujinkan are the same; each Ninja chooses his own path.
I have never met Frank Dux personally but as a Ninja I desire to live in harmony with the universe and know all things are possible therefore it might quite be that he possibly could have won the Kumite and really has all those world records.Who am I to judge ?
I have seen some of Frank Dux’s clips on you tube as well and once again I’ve noticed the exact simialarity to our Bujinkan Ninja techniques.Same combat art, just a different family heritage. In Ninjutsu the techniques all have names and resemble the elements of nature. If you asked a Kung Fu student to demonstrate “Ichimonji no kamae” (water movent), he probably wouldn’t know what you’re talking about.Same with a karate student; he would not have a clue because these are Ninjutsu movements and yet these are the movements taught by Frank Dux,Rick Tew and Sho Kosugi. And these guys practice Koga style Ninjutsu. The main reason why most people think Koga Ryu Ninjutsu does not exist is because of the death of Grand Master Seiko Fujita. But he was only one Koga Ninja. They did not all die on that same day. When Toshitsugu Takamatsu died, Masaaki Hatsumi stayed alive. And if you are a Bujinkan Ninja, if our Grand Master passes on one day, will that take away your Ninjaness?…No !!! Ninjutsu is the art of perseverence and of invisibility and the art will always persevere and Koga Ryu has just stayed invisible till the day that Sho Kosugi made his first Ninja movie.Jinichi Kawakami is also a Koga Ninja on You tube whose techniques resembles ours.Check out his videos on You Tube (Jinichi Kawakami Soke)
There is another topic that I feel that I have to speak of while I’m at it.And once again I feel that I have to appologise on behalf of my Bujinkan and Togakure Ryu brothers and say sorry to all the Koga Ninja for the rude comments about the Ninja-to.Many people say that the straight bladed Ninja-to is not a real Ninja weapon but here they are horribly mistaken. The truth is that to a true Ninja absolute everything is a weapon.Even your opponent’s very own mind !!!
A real Ninja should view a straight bladed sword also as a weapon because a shinobi zue is also a straight weapon. And besides that what ever will enable you to survive and complete your mission will and must be of use.I know that Grand Master Hatsumi says that the Ninja sword with the square handguard is not a true historical Ninja weapon (in his video called Ninja Biken ) but his teachings are of Togakure Ryu (actually nine Iga schools). This does not mean that the Koga Ninja did not use a staight blade with a square handguard.I have bought many of Stephen Hayes’ books that he wrote when he came back from training with Dr.Masaaki Hatsumi and he used as a Ninja tool as well.Even Robert Bussey used this beatiful weapon. According to Koga Ryu experts Jinichi Kawakami and Sho Kosugi the straight bladed Ninja-to is the true sword of the Ninja.According to Dr.Hatsumi the sword has a four pettal-leafed guard (Togakure version). So we must accept the fact that there are two types of Ninja-to.One has a square guard and the other does not.The latter also has a slight curve.Because I love practicing with swords i have both types, the Togakure Ninja-to and the straight bladed, square guard type. And both work equally well.A Ninja will be able to use both of these in combat and should be able to apply sword techniques with everyday tools such as an umbrella or a sharp broken-off broom stick as well. This is the essence of Ninpo.A true Ninja also does not live in hatred but in love.If we learn to love and accept others we can live as brothers and learn that we are all the same.May our beloved art live on for ever !!
What a load of bollox, Bruce Lee would have killed Frank Dux, Bruce had plenty of ground game, But ground game doesnt sell movies so you think he has none. Remmember the begining of Enter the Dragon, First MMA fight ever on screen, even had the gloves, Bruce Lee wins how? via subbmission. JKD is a philosphy of your body against somebody elses by playing to your strengths or their weekness and reacting to them fluidly. He obsessivley trained in this philosophy. Frank Dux my hold a few belts but he is a bull shitter and got knocked out by one of the first UFC fighters for talking shit at a show.
Y’all are dumb. Dux would win because he’s a badass. The end.
anyone who would frank dux or bruce lee is an absolute idiot they would both dominate in the modern day competitions and the only way either one of them would lose would be if they faced each other
Very simple. Frank Dux would never have matched well in the bloodsport Kumite. Kumite was quite often a deadly sport. His training doesn’t bode well in this sort of conflict. Bruce Lee was not only a Kung Fu Master (deadliest fighting art meant strictly to disable and or kill) he also developed several of his own styles of Kung Fu. Frank would be able to compete in cage fighting because of his training. Kung Fu Masters are not allowed in cage fighting because of the nature of their art and it’s usual outcome. Ask yourself if you’ve ever seen a Kung Fu Master in a cage fight.
I think that Bruce Lee would have a very good chance at winning most of his bouts, the only thing that would limit him would be the Match Rules of The MMA.
Mr. Dux… I’m sorry you’re so lonely. I extend my utmost sympathies towards you in your inexorable and seemingly endless plight. It seems to be an awfully pitiful existance to sustain, for any man, googling your own name and reading comments online in an attempts to reach out and discover that there may be just an inkling of concern for your highly prevaricated namesake. But don’t fool yourself Frank. Can I call you Frank? Good, that’s nice of you to exhibit a little modesty in your old age. As I see it, Frank, you should just remain in hiding, without subverting yourself to further mockery and disgrace by attempting to redeem your heavily tarnished reputation, chocked far above the high water mark in hundreds of well settled pounds of male bovine feacle matter. I mean, seriously, what we have here is a record (completely unsubstantiated and unverifiable, other than to the disputes of your honest and stalwart character), made in reference to an event (that never really occurred. Unless of course it was during the witching hour, or maybe during a solar eclipse, or maybe it was during kennedy’s untimely demise. Who knows? All I know is that I’m scared I might end up tearing a rotator cuff in the process of throwing you all these bones, Duxy ol’ boy.). Unless I’ve just lost all my senses of verisimilitude, and all of a sudden, imaginary “Kimite” tournaments are going on, receiving no publication whatsoever, but are completely agreeable when it comes to the proposterous admission of the harrowing victories won time and time again by this secret society’s perfect record holding golden child? Sounds like Caca. But all I really have to say is, in the poignant verbal form expressed by Mr. Dwight Yokam’s infamously portrayed character of Doyle Hargraves in the 1996 academy award winning film “Sling Blade”- “You’re a weird little shit, Frank, and I don’t get ya.”
for everyone that says bruce has no ground game…..you obviously know nothing about him. He trained in many forms including jiu jitsu and there is photos and videos of him arm barring the shit outa people! He would do great in his weight class!!!!
Ok first I would like to say , Bruce Lee , DID KNOW GROUND GAME….. In bruce lees time grappling and submission were superly popular and known about.
But if you really know anything about bruce lee , he was a ground fighter also , maybe you missed a few but there are some that show off some ground skills.
No clue if bruces skill on the ground would match top fighters and martial artists in the world right now , but he knew what he was doing.
Bruce Lee style is the most practical fighting method ever….All you “dumb” people have been tainted by bloodsport. Jeet Kune Do encompasses gung fu, boxing, judo, jujitsu, karate, grecco wrestling. There is no way in my mind and opinion that Bruce Lee would take Frank Dux. The match would be stupendous, in my opnion, and it wouldn’t be a waste of time.
Bruce was dominant. You all say he had no ground game, but he studied jiu jitsu for a good amount of time. we just never see it on the movies. He studied wing chun since he was like 8, and then created his own Jeet Kune Do. No UFC fighter can even imagine how badly Bruce would tear him apart. Nobody can kick like that crazy basturd. True that Bruce was a little small, but that doesnt matter at all. He was quick as a jaguar and powerful as a dragon.
